Approved Code Scheme Membership Details

Our Consumer Code of Practice

Image

As a business member (i.e. a ‘Code Member’) of the Approved Code Scheme, AirsourceUK Limited has signed-up to a sector-specific Code of Practice - administered by Renewable Energy Consumer Code (an accredited 'Code Sponsor' organisation). This Code of Practice has been approved by Trading Standards professionals to ensure higher levels of customer service and stronger consumer rights than those included in UK law.

In practice, it means they have agreed to a range of measures that guard against 'sharp' sales practices (e.g. no cold-calling or hard-selling), or overly-complicated and misleading information (e.g. about their products or services). In addition, their contracts, terms and conditions, and complaints process must all be clear and fair. And in the event that something does go wrong, they have agreed to abide by a fast, inexpensive, and independent dispute resolution process (see below).

Continued membership of the Approved Code Scheme sets AirsourceUK Limited apart from less reputable businesses in the sector – signalling that they are a reliable, trustworthy and legitimate business that treats its customers with due care and attention at all times.

Unlike similar schemes, membership of the Approved Code Scheme isn't something businesses can simply 'pay and display'. It demands dedication to meet and maintain the strict consumer protection requirements of the Scheme, with a long-term commitment to raising standards across the entire sector. Based on its continued membership of the Approved Code Scheme, we are confident that AirsourceUK Limited is a legitimate business that cares about its customers and puts their satisfaction first.

Complaints and Redress

If a dispute arises between you, the customer, and AirsourceUK Limited, please inform them that you are aware of their membership of the Approved Code Scheme and you have access to the Renewable Energy Consumer Code Code of Practice they have signed up to.

Employees should have received training on the requirements of the Code of Practice and should deal with your complaint promptly and fairly. However, if you are not happy with their response, you can take it further. Simply tell them that you are still unhappy and, if they haven't offered it already, request details of their independent Alternative Dispute Resolution body (or you can check the Renewable Energy Consumer Code Profile Page for details). This is a fast-tracked process for resolving your dispute - saving you the expense and effort of going to court. Renewable Energy Consumer Code provides additional and more specific information for resolving disputes with one of their member businesses on their Profile Page.

Approved Code Scheme Terms

Membership of the Approved Code Scheme cannot guarantee that member businesses will offer the best service possible, nor provide a seamless or trouble-free customer experience. As with any trust-based scheme, the Scheme’s effectiveness depends on our member businesses abiding by the terms of their membership.

However, each business has been vetted by its Code Sponsor organisation. And, if things do go wrong, the Code of Practice that AirsourceUK Limited has agreed to, makes provisions for dealing with any issues that may arise. These ensure that the business will do all it can to ensure your satisfaction before a dispute arises. And, if that fails, they have agreed to abide by a simple, low-cost and independent process for dispute resolution - saving you the expense, headache and potential delays of having to go to court (although you can still go to court, if you wish to do so). Read more about the Approved Code of Practice that AirsourceUK Limited has signed-up to on their Code Sponsor organisation's Profile Page - in this case, Renewable Energy Consumer Code.
