New guidance from the Consumer Code for Home Builders highlights how Approved Codes can help consumers ask the right questions before buying. 

Buying a new-build home often means making decisions before seeing the finished property or plot.

The Consumer Code for Home Builders has highlighted the wider factors consumers may need to consider before buying. These include boundaries, neighbouring access, development layouts, garages and parking, gardens, and maintenance charges.

This is a useful example of how approved codes can support consumers before problems arise, helping people understand what to ask, what information to expect and how to make more informed decisions.
