You cannot amend any of the main About information on your listing here (e.g. your business name, address, contact details etc), as these are wholly managed by your official Code Sponsor organisation: [Code Sponsor Name]. If you wish to amend those details, please contact your Code Sponsor representative and they will make any changes (and upload that information to the ACS database).

As membership of the Approved Code Scheme is strictly controlled by the individual Code Sponsor organisations, to maintain the continued integrity of the Scheme, even the staff at ACS/CTSI can’t alter or amend your main details on the ACS website.

This additional information you provide here is intended to make your ACS Business Listing more helpful to consumers (i.e. your potential customers). Please avoid overtly 'salesy' language or 'promotional' details - as these will not add to your consumer credibility on a website like this. Keep it purely informational, accurate, sincere and business-like. Remember, unlike many of your competitors, you are already a certified member of the Approved Code Scheme by adhering to a customer-friendly Code of Practice that avoids the 'hard sell', while maintaining a respectful relationship with consumers.

PLEASE NOTE You can use basic formatting in your listing but no HTML or images. Before it goes live, it will be checked by members of the ACS Team (during normal UK office hours). If they consider it unacceptable in any way (e.g. offensive, false or misleading information), they will reject it without notice or explanation. However, you are welcome to amend the information and submit it again for re-consideration (up to three times in any 7 day period).

1) Your Business Description

This is your opportunity to let your customers know a little bit about your business, its history and any other information you’d like them to know. For example, you can include details of when your business was established, the geographical areas it serves, your commitment to after-sales service.

The Brief Introduction is a top-level introduction and should be no more than a 2-3 sentence paragraph (max. 75 words). The Business Description can be more in-depth - but please try to keep it concise and upbeat (max. 250 words).

2) Business Services Offered

This is where you can let consumers know what main services your business offers (up to a maximum of 12 services). Please list them by Title Only separated by semi-colons (e.g. Building Surveying; Car Valeting; House Clearances; etc). Please do not add descriptive text in the list - instead, you can add a brief overview of your services in the Service Overview box below (max. 150 words).

3) Third-Party Accreditations

Here, you can include your membership of any other trade bodies, associations or accreditation schemes - even those similar to the Approved Code Scheme (as an independent and objective body, ACS does not have direct 'competitors', as we work with or alongside many of the key UK trader schemes).

4) Consumer Reviews (external)

Finally, you can provide links to any reviews your business has generated from consumers on a number of leading third-party review sites. Simply copy and paste the full URL from the review site to the relevant URL box.

You are entirely responsible for the content of your Enhanced Listing. If you post false or misleading information on the ACS website, or add links to websites that are misleading to consumers, we reserve the right to suspend/delete your listing without notice. Furthermore, your business will be reported to your Code Sponsor organisation (and you may face expulsion from the Scheme or other measures).

Your listing on the Approved Code Scheme website is wholly dependent on your continued membership of (or affiliati0on with) your official Code Sponsor organisation. If your membership ceases, your Approved Code certification (on this website) will also be removed.

To maintain transparency with consumers, your basic listing may remain online for a period after your membership ceases - indicating that you are a former member of the Approved Code Scheme. This process is wholly managed by your current or former Code Sponsor organisation – please contact them directly to request that they remove your listing from the Approved Code Scheme website.
